If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a trouble-free start to your time in Lawas. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you take the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
