We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be breezing through the airport and enjoying Linkoping in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you’ll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Layer yourself up in breathable clothing and don’t forget to pack a sweater in case it gets cool in the cabin. Pick a pair of roomy, flat shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and hiking boots in your checked baggage.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks may also help.
