We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and discovering Malolo Lailai Island in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you carry the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
