Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Manacor could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
