We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Mashiki in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your prime concern when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common occurrence. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Most travellers are aware of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There's plenty you can do to minimize your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform some stretches in your seat.
