Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Mysore holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
