We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a ball in Orem in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
