Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy hints that will help get your Pimentel escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you take the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
