If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But there's no need to worry. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a worry-free start to your getaway in Prome. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
