Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Punta Negra could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are always good options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Don layers of breathable clothing and remember to pack a sweater in case it gets cool. Opt for flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your checked baggage.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There's plenty you can do to lower your risk. Wear a quality pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and get your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
