We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Sabrosa in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this happening. Wearing a pair of compression socks is also recommended.
