We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a blast in San Carlos in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
