We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and enjoying Warman in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you've got all the right stuff. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
