The hotel is in an excellent location right off the main Michigan. A couple of short blocks to Roosevelt Avenue. You can get anywhere from there and I even walked downtown each day. The proprietor and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The place was clean and quiet. Everyone there was friendly and I didn't experience any issues. It isn't the Ritz but it does the trick at a very good price. I highly recommend.

A good and cheap place to crash as a solo adventurer! Stayed the weekend to see a show at Soldier Field, which is a reasonable walking distance away from this location

Great place to stay for a night to see a concert or game. It is in a great location, but a shared shower and bath which is not the best, but the room was clean and quiet.

The hotel was good, the room was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were ok, probably could be more cleaner. The location was perfect, it’s easier to go to the main interest places in Chicago. Good rate quality price.

Guys, how to put it - it works if you are a bit desperate or want to save some buck. Room was clearly fine, clean, and quiet. Bathrooms were not clean. Roof was leaking in my first room. Staff is nice though. Do some cleaning guys - it does not cost much, while will add a lot of value

The room it self was small but nice was just a bed and a TV they gave you a towel nothing really for breakfast shared bathrooms and codes on all doors to get in overall nice if you want something no thrills just to sleep

Great Value for Basic Accommodations

It is a very basic room, but the absolute best value you will find in downtown chicago as a single traveller in your own room. The parking was reasonable, cheaper than any other street or garage parking in the area - it is an unmarked gated lot behind the building accessed from the alley and you do have to pay separately for it. The room was very tidy and small, a twin size bed, TV, and nightstand. Altogether about 6'× 8'. I'm 6'2" and found it comfortable. There are 2 shared bathrooms, but they lock and each have a shower. These were also quite clean. There is also a shared refrigerator. The location is amazing. Just a short ~20 min walk to mccormick place or soldier field, surrounded by fantastic restaurants, and between 2 grocery stores.

Ok if you expect a standard hotel room you will be disappointed. What one gets here is a windowless closet with little soundproofing just bigger than your dingle bed. Toilet and shower rooms, of which there are only 2 are not that clean. The price is interesting, the location good, the staff helpful, but not really a hotel room, closer to a hostel with shutting doors

Pros Cheap, great location for food drink and public transportation, quiet, 1st floor , good tv channel choices, good pillows, good bedding Good wifi Cons Doors to property are in need of repair, the bathrooms are very dirty, carpet is dirty, every so often a smell comes into the rooms that smells like sewer, only one plug in room, no soap or wash cloths in bathroom. This is a Hostel not like a hotel. No kitchen no hot plate, no fridge. Its perfect to travel alone and a place to sleep and keep your luggage.

After I was informed of how to turn off the heat pipe directed at my bed, it was a pretty comfortable stay. It was small, but worth the money compared to nearby options.

Good stay overall

The person in the lobby was friendly. He gave all necessary codes I would require to gain access to the doors, however coming back at night the code lock was dead. I had to bang on the door for 20 minutes since no one answered the phones. The first bathroom wasn’t so clean, but the second one was spotless. I would most likely stay here again.
