"A very young, untrained and uncouth staff - coming off as rude and checked out as a result. This place could be amazing. Bedrooms were solid. Reception staff and waiter/bar staff unbelievably rude. I hate not to leave 20%....but I simply could not do it here.
The food is mediocre, as indicated on other sites. Head down to the restaurant down the street by foot or car for great craic and great food at same price: Wicklow Heather, with a free shuttle back to the hotel if you do stay there. The kitchen also fuels the fast food bar at the entrance, which is always packed.
I'm multi-lingual, no stranger to Ireland, my native land, and expect people to be friendly and polite. I stayed in 6 hotels on this trip, and the other 5 were great, both high and low end. My wife and adult kids hated this place.
This place needs a few solid managers who want repeat customers."
