"First off - this hotel is lovely. The staff was helpful and it's centrally located to the shops and entertainment. We had a one night stay and found the hotel historically fun and pleasing. If you are looking for quirky, historic and different - look no further!
I do feel I need to point out two details where this hotel might not be for every traveler.
First, Parking. There is none next to the hotel. You have to park below in public parking outside a bar and climb a hill or a flight of stairs. Your car will be in a large lot and if you have a lot of items inside, it may be a risk. We had to pack up a night back and
Second, The hotel is haunted. I'm not kidding. There are multiple ghosts and a ghost cat documented. It's part of a haunted tour. We stayed in a room attributed to the Shining and had multiple tours stop at our door to point it out throughout the night. Inside, there were pictures of the shining twins and etchings in the shower. My teenager loved it. But this isn't for everyone. And I feel should be called out for certain tourists who may not want the ghost experience or to be separated from their car. If that's you - this isn't the hotel. And they own that in their marketing. It's just not showing on Expedia so I thought I'd call it out.
