You can do this trip on public transport. There is a new direct no 08 service back from Corralejo to Cotillo at 1715, allowing all day in Corralejo. Catch the 06 Rosario bus in Corralejo and ask the driver for 'The two Hotels' which are on the Blue Flag beach ( only 1.40 euro each way). Bus from Cotillo every hour in daylight hours 3.10 euro but the direct bus back is only 2.05 euro. So total round trip is only 7.95 euro.

Grand playas is a larger nicer nearby than the main Corralejo one although is a long walk or short car drive.
