"The Gresham Hotel is in a perfect place for exploring Dublin by bus, taxi, foot, and tours. There is a hop on / hop off bus stop directly in front of the hotel. You're minutes from coffee, fast food options, shopping, and convenience stores. There are two very nice pubs on the same street that have live music many, if not all, nights.
As for the hotel itself, the lobby is lovely with a small bar and comfortable seating. Service can be a little slow, so have some patience when ordering. There is an onsite restaurant, Toddy's, which serves many of the same dishes at the bar but has a nicer seating for dinner. One breakfast room is located in the lobby right next to the elevators, and overflow breakfast guests are routed to Toddy's if the breakfast room fills up. There are three elevators right at the lobby. Bag check is an option if you arrive earlier than check in time, and be aware that the Gresham is very precise on when you are able to check in. 3 PM. Not earlier.
The room is pretty nice, and there's a tea kettle, enough tea and instant coffee for your stay, cups and mugs. Small fridge in room. Our room had a nice desk and small loveseat for seating. TV service is spotty so bring a device if you want to watch a show. Lighting in the room itself is pretty dim. Hairdryer is provided. Bedding is good, and beds were more comfortable than many hotels."
