we stayed in a dome tent, which served its purpose. but the side table may serve better as a small bar fridge. restaurant was expensive. would have been nice if brekky opened earlier than 8:00 a.m.

Unique Cape Leveque

Love the bay and the views were stunning. Stayed in a Deluxe Safari tent which although lovely could have been cleaner and would not be called Deluxe anywhere else, they are a bit expensive, I guess there is a price for those views and the remoteness. Loved it anyway.

Superb Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights in a mini safari tent at Kooljaman in beautiful Cape Leveque. The ambience and vibe of the place were great and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were grateful to be let into our tent well before check in time, due to an early arrival. Marie, the manager was kind and helpful. The food was amazing, as were the view and the beach. There are some areas that are a little run down, but that just adds to the rusticness of the place. Spectacular location, and a very popular holiday spot for Broome and Derby locals!

Scenery was beautiful. Camping facilities could do with some updating. Safari tents were quite comfortable.

Amazing location and a great place for a family get together. Food was especially good at the restaurant although the coffee could be better. Definitely would recommend and we will be back!

Kooljaman is remote and a long way from anything else, indigenous owned and it would be nice if this was incorporated into the stay, reception staff are rude and unfriendly. , bathrooms are not all functional. The area is pristine and beautiful so don’t let this deter you from coming here.

Bit of fun adventure going in on the dirt road especially if not used to bush camping and tracks. Perched on top of cliffs overlooking beaches. Booked campground unit. Very basic but suitable. Went to experience the sunset and sunrise, both very pretty with the contrasting colours.

Old Safari Tents, Great Staff

I’ll start by saying the staff are lovely and willing to help. We stayed 2 nights in a family safari tent - neat but just plain old. Broken zips & ties. Big fridge, broken shelves. Old little kitchen, old shower & loo - but plenty of hot water. Pretty views from our private little balcony. Ancient gas bbq with flame retardants missing is the only source of cooking. Pity it had no gas! We only discovered this 8pm & 5 min into cooking dinner. Office closed so no contacts for help. Ended up driving warm fish to restaurant - super busy chef finished the cooking with big smile, lovely busy waitress organized gas replaced that evening. 5 stars to you both! Thanks again. The location is remote & the western beach pristine. No swimming here though so we enjoyed a peaceful & secluded seat with our books. Eastern beach very nice for safe swimming & relaxing.

Kooljaman, Cape Leveque

Great place but accommodation very tired. Tent and kitchen/bathroom very old and requires renovation. For $330/p night you expect more. Beautiful part of the world though. I would highly recommend a 4 hour excursion with Bolo Angus - great bloke who will give you an education on Indigenous culture and bush craft-fantastic.
