We found the room and hotel to be quite dated Carpets were dirty and towels had marks on them. We never felt clean during our stay here. It was our first trip to the Lakes and we have been put off returning because of it.

Beautiful location with large rooms looking over Grassmere lake. The decor is clean fresh with great choice of colours. Super king bed was very comfortable and room temperature perfect. The artwork on all the walls is enjoyable and like being in a private gallery. Staff were all very informative ...

First time to Grasmere and had a lovely time. The room was luxurious and welcoming, would have been happy to stay in the whole time! Random huge bottle of gin was definitely unusual. Restaurant was great, really couldn’t fault anything about the hotel or the experience.
