"This is a beautiful property with unique, rustic design situated in the middle of the village, definitely off the beaten path! The suite we stayed in on the 4th floor had a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding greenery. The property was well maintained and the staff was amazingly accommodating. "We loved everything about Z1. Pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful, poolside service was also great while lounging. Private beach loungers were also really nice with security keeping beach peddlers away. Next door is a little convenience store where you can get cheaper cold beer/soda/snscks. Room was very clean and comfortable and turned over twice daily. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really solid at sexy fish, overlooking the ocean/beach. The rest of the meals are pricey compared to nearby places and I wouldn’t say the quality is much higher. Just fancier plating and garnishes. Not a ripoff by any means but for the price we got better value at local spots off the beach."

"The hotel sits on the best part of the beach in Kendwa and Nungwi. Very comfortable beach beds. The staff are very friendly, however the service from the beach bar in the day can be very slow and confusing. Our rooms in the pool villas were fantastic, very clean and spacious. Would recommend"

"This was the best beachfront property we have ever experienced in our many years of travel, Tranquil, well maintained, superbly attentive staff, bungalows lost within the forest with the feeling that there are no others around, best outdoor pool ever, incredible beach, I could go on ........... One of the few properties I have been to where the pictures on the internet do not do it justice."

"Absolutely fantastic! The hotel and our room was spotless and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed and made to feel special. Our room was incredible, so spacious and comfortable. Every single staff member at the hotel could not have done more to make our holiday unforgettable, everyone went above and beyond, were polite and friendly. Food was delicious and there was so much variety, the restaurants were fantastic with the best steak ever!! The pools made it feel like we were in complete paradise, overlooking the beach, plenty of sun loungers, brilliant entertainment and fantastic staff always there to get us a cocktail!"

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help when we needed anything. One thing travelers should know is that the meal options are limited, as the hotel has only one restaurant. The team does make an effort to change the menu daily, but the variety can still feel restricted, especially if you're staying several nights or traveling with picky eaters. Another point to consider is that there are no planned or organized activities offered by the hotel. While the setting is relaxing and perfect for unwinding, you’ll need to plan your own excursions or entertainment outside the property. Despite these limitations, we enjoyed our time here. The peaceful environment, friendly staff, and beautiful ocean setting made it a memorable stay. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a quiet, simple, and scenic getaway."
