"I am a resident of Costa Rica and was taken sick the day before the check in mid July so informed the hotel via Expedia app and requested a move of the date into early August. They ignored my message. I asked Expedia to request directly with the hotel who then denied my request stating that the date of check in has now passed. Very unimpressed for a high end hotel to have such poor customer service. I’ll not be staying at the hotel again and will be recommending to my network not to do so...

"Un hotel de mucha historia en costa rica. Se conserva muy bien y se mantiene actualizado. Es ideal para viajeros que dispongan de vehículo porque tiene acceso a diferentes sitios por varias rutas. Si ubicacion lo hace muy seguro y dispone de todos los servicios a su alrededor. Nos gusta usarlo para escaparnos de la rutina un fin de semana familiar."

"At breakfast the scrambled eggs consistently had egg shell fragments in them. Very unpleasant to chew on. The showers need upgraded. Other than those two items the hotel is beautiful and the staff is very kind and helpful. The rest of the breakfast items were very good. Valet parking was excellent with prompt attending to whenever we came or went."

"This property is old and outdated. Our room was clean but the bathroom had stains and dirt on the door and mold in the shower. It was not a terrible experience but we definitely would not stay there again. Restaurant food and staff were good."
