"Location was absolutely key! While the hotel is a bit older, it still offers a nice stay. There was a water pipe issue, but it was out of their control, and they thoughtfully provided water for guests. Remember, it's an island, and sometimes things happen! "We enjoyed our stay and really like the fact that this resort was affordable, so we were OK with some of the property's shortcomings. Cons: Sargassum - Thankfully, we were aware of the sargassum (seaweed), so we weren't planning on spending any time at their beach. It was smelly at their beachside pool as well, due to the sargassum, so we didn't spend any time at the beachside pool either. They have a hillside pool (not smelly!) that we hit up everyday for their BOGO 4-6pm Happy Hour....

"The king size bed in the room was old with the hump in the middle. The room housekeeping was erratic, a couple of days no housekeeping, a few once a day and a few twice a day. Cleaning of the room was superficial, no cleaning of patio. We did not use the spa.The fittness room was nice but the steam room is at the spa."
