"The location and resort was beautiful. The pricing and food quality were not in sync. Very small portion, small selection, and quality was not there. We left the resort several nights for dinner and needed to go grocery shopping. Most of us were hungry after eating meals and spending an amount that should not have left us hungry. "

"This gorgeous resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Our week was luxurious, peaceful, and beautiful. All of the staff were so kind and attentive. We were assigned our own trip ambassador whom we saw in person multiple times but also was very responsive through a WhatsApp group she set up. Rafaela helped us schedule restaurant reservations and fitness classes, arrange transportation, and most helpfully of all was there when I needed a doctor and didn’t know what to do. I was so grateful to be able to visit the doctor they have onsite 24/7 and even walked out with the prescription I needed in hand. I have so many examples of ways the staff went above and beyond I wish I had space to name them all. The grounds were immaculately landscaped, the interiors were styled to perfection, and the pool and beach were so picturesque. I was constantly marveling at how much more beautiful it was in person than even the photos could show. Our villa was visited by housekeeping twice daily and kept looking flawless. They even swept our patio and skimmed the plunge pool. I should also note they brought in an entire extra bed without my asking so all three of my children could have their own bed. The food exceeded my expectations. The kids were thrilled with 24/7 room service. The restaurants were all wonderful fine dining experiences. Everything was plated like works of art. The breakfast buffet was the most elaborate I have ever experienced. Thank you, Cayo Levantado Resort! "

"Where do I start? This is an unbiased review from a frequent traveler to the Dominican Republic. I choose where I want to stay without the assistance of a travel agency. First off, this property sits at the top of a hill all by itself and boasts amazing, near 360 degree views of Samana town center and the surrounding port and bay/ocean. The view from my oceanview room on the 4th floor (412) was absolutely spectacular. The room was clean and inviting. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. Anything we were missing, and the staff went out of their way to get it for us (ex: the property had no instant creamer for my morning coffee, and the housekeeper went out on her own and bought me powdered creamer). The atmosphere both inside and outside was mostly tranquil which is exactly why I chose this property. The staff were warm and friendly. Everyone including the Fran the GM, Stailyn, the Beach Manager, all the bartenders and food service staff, housekeeping services, security, and even the grounds staff made us feel like royalty. Samana is my favorite locale in the Dominican Republic, and Eurostars Grand Cayacoa is a hidden gem worth visiting. "
