Dear Cheuk, thank you for staying with us. Yes, we do admit we are not in the town centre but the location is something guests should decide when booking any accommodation. Most of our guests look for the peace and quietness that properties in town cannot offer, hence they prefer our location to one in town. If you use the map showing the shortcut to town that we e-mail twice, once immediately after you book and secondly, a couple of days before your arrival and also displayed in the information folder that's in your room, you would've been able to get to town by foot in 10-15 mins. The prices we write on our whiteboard are last-minute walk-in prices for rooms that haven't sold ye for that dayt. Of course they will be slightly lower as a room sold for a lower price is better than a room not sold. I hope this clarifies it for everyone else interested in staying with us. Thank you so much for the lovely review. For most of the year, aircon hasn't really a necessity given the weather at Ella. It's rarely been mentioned by customers as it gets pretty chilly in Ella. However, it's been exceptionally hot these days so I do understand it being a bit hot. We are a work in progress and we do want to add A/C to some of our rooms when time and funds permit. Hi Laura, thanks for your review. We were in the process of building a car parking area at the entrance. Hence the reason there was building work being done. Unlike in a flat land, making a car park involves a lot more work when building into the side of a mountain. This is nearly completed now and we have space for a couple of cars to park now. The glass in the bathroom is to watch the view while having a shower. I do understand that right now the glass is covered with a curtain as we are in the process of sourcing the correct blinds but it's not a bad architectural choice, just a work in progress yet to be finished. Apologies for the staff asking you about taxi's. I've advised them to ask customers if they want a taxi organised for their onward journey but I've told them not to make themselves a nuisance. Hi Urs, Thanks for your review. The room you booked was our budget bronze room which is smaller than our other rooms. Hence the lack of the table. We have a common fridge that anyone can use, we do not keep individual fridges in the room as we hardly have any requests for them. We usually ask our customers if room cleaning is required so I wonder why yours wasn't but I will look into this and ensure it isn't repeated. Yes, we are looking at adding a safe to the room, we understand customers feel more secure about leaving their belongings that way. Thanks for staying with us again.

Hello! Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are about 1.3km from town along the road and vans do come up here although I must admit the road isn't perfect. Your best option would've been to get a tuk from town if your driver wasn't game enough to come up the road :) Thanks again for the lovely review.

Hello, thanks for your review. We are 1.3km from the town if you come by car or about 800m if you come using the shortcut shown in the map we sent by e-mail and also have in a card in the room. That takes 10-15 mins maximum to walk. Most of our guests don't stay in the room during the day/night as they go to do the hikes around Ella, hence the reason we don't offer lunch or dinner. We do however, have partnerships with a few places that deliver to our property which is mentioned in the card in your room which is together with the map showing the shortcut. Cheers

Hello, really sorry about the ants in the bed. We spray our rooms with Cinnamon oil to keep bugs/insects away so I'm surprised they were there. About the blackouts, sorry, but the whole of Ella lost electricity at that time so was a bit beyond our control. Cheers, Roshane

Sorry for the wifi being a bit sketchy, another couple occupying the room next to yours exploited the free wifi service we provide and downloaded over 25GB of movies which passed the wifi data quota which slowed it down. Usually the wifi here is pretty good. Thanks again.

Thanks for the lovely review Pekka. Yes, we decided to shut down in May to get some construction work done and we were doing some prep work during April so that we would be ready to re-open in June without any delays. We are also in the process of getting signage for directions sorted, sorry for the inconvenience.The walk to Ella town is usually about 10-15 mins, but most people love the fact that we are away from town as it keeps away the noise and business of town and replaces it with natural sounds of birds, monkeys and deer.
