Beach Hotel Swakopmund

"The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is good. Our bathroom was big. All in all we had a good time. The only things to note were a non-functioning elevator (they offer help with luggage) and the lack of closet space in the rooms. You need to keep everything in your suit case."

"The staff were super helpful and welcoming. There is a hotel restaurant in the building next door which does breakfast and dinner. The menu looked great but I didn’t get chance to have my breakfast as my transport back to Windhoek arrived at 7am (worth bearing in mind if you are booking a shared shuttle bus back to the city)!"
Hotel A La Mer

"The view from our room was simply spectacular. An executive room, number 4, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and jetty. Next to the jetty is one of two restaurants, the Tug, a few minutes walk and outstanding food and service. The room itself was great, comfortable beds, and wonderful shower with nice water pressure. The fridge was perfect for chilling wine and beer. The elevator was very much appreciated. We had the pleasure of talking to Jolande at reception, who managed to book an excellent tour for us, of the Skeleton Coast and Cape Cross. The other staff at reception were very helpful too, providing us with ice for drinks, and offering tips and answering all of our questions. The ladies at breakfast were simply wonderful, so friendly, and providing excellent service. Some good food choices, and the eggs were always a good way to start the day. We didn't use the bar onsite, as we purchased wine and beer at the grocery store just a few minutes walk away. Swakopmund is a gem by the ocean, and our stay at A La Mer couldn’t have been any better. "

"Parking out the front of the hotel so easy access. It looks out to the water and boardwalk. Short drive to town Staff were a mix, lady on reception pushy on trips and booking with her. We had no intention. Bar staff lovely and attentive The room we had #1 was right at the front, so you could hear all the news from the bar, road and generally noisy and not very private. Book a standard room if you are staying, not worth the extra money. "

"This is a hidden gem… a beautiful hotel clean rooms and lovely staff The hotel is right on the beach in Long Island, this is between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay Anita and Dulcie were amazing hosts and perfect concierge services for all the activities."
