"La Quinta is in West Long Branch and conveniently located on NJ-36, a kind of semi-circle that loops around to many of the places tourists would want to visit in the Jersey Shore area. One can spend entire days moving along NJ-36 and not get lost going to or from the hotel. Long Branch and its beach are within several miles of the hotel, and beach towns going north on the shore (Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, etc.) are just slightly farther up NJ-36.
The hotel is pleasing in appearance, relatively long from left to right but not high or otherwise especially large. It has free self-parking with spaces right outside guests' rooms. It also offers a free hot breakfast. Desk staff are responsive and available 24/7. La Quinta is notably more affordable than hotels located along the beachfront. This likely reflects the fact that, in general, it is not fancy and does not trade much on amenities. The area is not known for entertainment spots; the hotel is just up the road from the Monmouth Park race track, but it has apparently cut back on its former race schedule."
