The nightgarden at Fairchild is a MUST
A novel assortment of visitors this past weekend at Miami's famed Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens included these witches and bats created by artist and Fairchild volunteer Bev Murphy. Her fun and funky creations, made completely from organic materials, certainly helped set the stage for upcoming Halloween festivities.
Nobody is gonna' rain on my parade! This colorful collection of umbrellas is on display inside the new Adam R. Rose and Peter R. McQuillan Arts Center at Fairchild's in celebration of the Gardens and Glass Chihuly Exhibit. Now through May 31, 2015, guests to Fairchild's can see over thirty Chihuly pieces artfully nestled throughout 83 acres of gardens. For a spectacular treat, visit on Thursday or Sunday evening (I'm hoping to return) and experience the magic of Chihuly illuminated under the stars.
