Falkland Palace, Fife, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 expanded from a hunting lodge to become a castle in the 13th century and was owned by the Earls of Fife, Clan MacDuff.

Falkland Palace and Gardens, Falkland, Fife, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is today under stewardship of the Marquess of Bute, who delegates most of his duties to The National Trust for Scotland. The village of Falkland has recently been used to film The Outlander tv series and the Palace and surrounding area are historically interesting and beautiful, very much worth a wee visit if you’re in the Kingdom of Fife.
