"Room was just fine and clean and kept clean. However only one elevator out of 4 worked and it’s a 15 story building so wait times were common. Sometimes they let us use the service elevator. The lobby area looks like and has potential to be awesome but right now nothing more than a small front desk. Bar and coffee shop are there but only in concept I guess. Maybe it will continue to get better "

"It's old... AC not great.. no amenities, no food or drink.. staff helpful.. parking charge well above other parking around the area.. queen room pretty small, not too updated, very plain, somewhat stodgy.. did not sleep well for 3 nights but could've been me... Great location"

"Hotel was conveniently located about 10-15 min walking to nearest bus stop or cable car. 1 king bed room we stayed had a good size bedroom and bathroom for two people. Location of the AC in the bedroom bothered us since it was installed above the bed with fans pointing towards the bed and it was not possible to redirect the orientation of the fans. We had to run it before bedtime to air the room and then turn it off since it was too loud and cold but then room may get little stuffy. They charge $20 amenities fee which we never heard of in any of our stays in CA. This included breakfast which had tea, coffee and croissants and muffins which were not very fresh but edible. We rather have breakfast not included and not pay for it and choose what to eat ourselves rather than eating the same thing every morning. Staff was very nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"Room was clean comfortable and relatively quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very convenient location, especially for transit. Area around hotel was fine as long as you stay away from street next to it. Be aware though that parking is 65 not 35 like it says here, that really needs to be updated."

"Got this room for my sister-in-law. Not only did she not feel safe there but the room was dilapidated- the walls had extreme levels of peeling paint and the sheets were heavily stained. She didn’t stay the night and I will be contesting the charges. "

"The carpets were dirty, black mold in the showers, the mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable, the elevator is slow, small and usually occupied. Took the stairs to the 5th floor and down most of the time. Aside from that, its good place to stay for a night or two on a budget. Parking is secured in a gated lot next to the hotel for $32-40 per night. Walking distance to good eateries. Recommend food within walking distance: Cafe Buenos Aires on Polk st. for their variety of fresh empanadas and desserts, fruit fruit smoothies and hot mushroom drinks and matcha. Then to have the stews/soups and other chinese foods at Hai Ki Mi Gia on Ellis. Both eateries keep a very clean place and presentation of food, on top of the food tasting delicious."
