"Room and hotel dated. Not many cars in car park, so I thought a room with a view would make sense as that's the photos used to advertise the place. My room was looking onto the car park. Food options limited, Guinness had finished with no more to connect. "

"Absolutely Lovely staff … friendly and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us Sadly this does not take away from the tired rooms. We had booked a suite which was better when we viewed it but due to a significant leg injury I could not get up and down the stairs. … So we asked and were moved to a basic room on the ground floor (We didn’t ask for refund on room and wasn’t offered one) so paid over the top for our 3 nights. Bed was comfy and tea and coffee facilities good but room was dingy, dark, smelt a bit fusty and in desperate need of a lick of paint and updating. Food was good quality pub food but not better than that. Breakfast was good too. All in all we had a restful stay as planned but surroundings were sadly worse than home so wouldn’t return just for those reasons. "
