"The hotel was in a great location - most tours were within a 10-15 minute walk - the only tour that was a longer walk was our bus tour of Tuscany that started at 8:AM near the train station - we took a cab to be safe.
The hotel staff was great - very helpful with anything we needed - always pleasant to talk with.
I cannot stress how helpful they were - one morning on our way out of the hotel we chose to ride the elevator down the 4 floors to the street - the elevator stopped between floors...
"The room was clean, however the shutters were difficult to open leaving the room dark for the duration of our stay.
The staff were ok we didn't really have much to do with them
Breakfast was ok, however some fresh cut fruit rather than a fruit salad would have been nicer.
Good selection of hot and cold foods.
The air-conditioning is excellent it kept the room comfortable for our whole stay.
We loved that there was an old fashioned key to open our room door.
Overall it was a good stay."
"Fantastic location, it was a quick walk to almost everything we wanted to see in Florence. Lots of shopping and great restaurants around. Comfortable beds. It’s a very old building but pretty well maintained and gives you that historical feel. Lots of steps. Not super high end but nice enough. Breakfast was not that good but Italians just don’t do breakfast."
"Disappointed with the check in and lack of explanation of things and rude staff. We went back later to get more information and the new person was very helpful. The place is a very cool concept."
