My favorite flower from my trip to Florida has to be from the floss silk tree (Chorisia speciosa).

The flower is about 4-6 inches across and the bright pink from the tips of the petals can be spotted from quite a distance.

It's like someone took the flower of a hibiscus and and infinitely improved upon it.

The Florida Botanical Gardens are beautiful AND free! With over 30 acres of themed gardens to explore and photograph.
