Very nice views of the Potomac River. There are also spots for some great fishing and picnics. Just behind the way going to the lighthouse you can see the fort.
The fort is part of the National Park system and is definitely worth a visit if find yourself in the area of DC. The history is interesting but the setting is stunning.
