"A very peaceful stay near the shrine in Fujinomiya. It was nice to have a genuine tatami room sleep. If you are a big party this could be a really great place to book all rooms. If you have accessible needs, I will say there are a number of non-uniform stair cases, unexpected changes and dropoffs throughout, but in my opinion this is to be expected in an old building like this. "Rooms are very clean. Amenities are adequate. Above all the place is in an environment where ait quality is superb and hot springs are everywhere! Mt. Fuji is about 50 kilometers away and you can see it from a couple of train ride stops away whether permitting. On the other hand for customers with a certain age you may need to be prepared for slope climbing. "The earlier comments have certainly been taken to heart; the accommodation was clean and the amenities were good. Although the twin room was sparsely furnished, it was good enough for an overnight stay. However, if you're a side sleeper like we were, you might find the futons to be too thin to be truly comfortable. Excellent place for backpackers and short-stay, not so much for families or extended stays."

"Location was excellent, close to the bus stop and the train. Very trustworthy area where the access is accessible 24/7 and staff can be around. Staff were helpful with requests and kept our luggage till we returned to check on at 3pm. Fixed check in time makes exploring the cable cars and pirate boats tight for time when arriving at 11-12pm. "This inn was our favorite place we stayed during our 3 week trip around Japan. It is close to the Hakone train station as well as the downtown shops. It is the perfect place if you’re looking for the traditional Japanese feel with some modern amenities. There are only three rooms in the inn and a small onsen for private use.
