Geilston Garden

18 miles north of Glasgow you will find Geilston Garden. When you enter the garden walk past the house and through the iron gate into the wooded glen. Follow the burn (stream) through the glen and enter the green door into the walled garden. It is so peaceful here that you could wile away the hours just sitting listening to the birds. Continue through the woods and you will come to the vegetable garden. There is also the opportunity to buy veggies fresh from the garden before you leave.

I was a bit unimpressed with Loch Lomond, i was expecting some nice lakeside walks and calm tranquil waters. Instead i got a tourist packed beach of sunbathers.

Balloch castle, a beautiful country house.🌳
Built in the 19th century it is now part of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Too bad it's not open to the public but maybe someday.🤞🏻
