"Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. "We had the friendliest welcome when checking in. We were wowed by the hotel’s aesthetics and explored as much as we could in on weekend. The rooms were spacious and modern and I’m so glad we booked the room with a balcony. The spa was well maintained and the pool wasn’t too busy. Breakfast was great with loads of options available. I visit Amsterdam frequently and this will be the only hotel I book moving forward."

"It is a great location if you are embarking or disembarking on a cruise. However, it is a bit of a walk into the city (approximately 10-15 minutes). The reception area was very helpful in storing our luggage until the room was ready. The concierge was very helpful as well. When checking in, the receptionist said breakfast was included with our package and the restaurant opened at 7:00 AM. I told her we had to leave at 5:30 AM to catch our flight and she offered to have a box breakfast ready...
