"Lovely location, great staff, Oak Room was really nice!"

"The counter, breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant. What I did not like and should have made a fuss about was the evening meal. The fries were over cooked and hard. The onion rings had been cremated, dark brown and burnt. I left half the meal as it was disgusting. I thought then and hoped the morning breakfast wasn’t going to be the same. Luckily it was excellent, must have a different chef for evening and breakfast meals."

"Hotel was let down by a touch of paint. Window sill room 210 needs touching up, swimming pool ceiling by changing rooms entrance badly needs painting."

"Check in was a bit antiquated. Paper and pen in the 21st century. Also 2 reception desks but with unequal queues. Bend linen a bit starchy, and of course they all use that industrial cleaner from sketchleys which smells terrible The towels smelt terrible as well It really should be that the linen and towels are cleaned with a domestic soap powder like aerial or bold, or with a conditioner like comfort so that customers get the wow factor of the room smelling like home rather than a hospital."

"EXcellent,5 star hotel come pub and restaurant.Thoroughly clean throughout,excellent choice of real ales, excellent varied menu,ultra clean super king bedroom,overlooking the Dee marshes,and nice views over to Wales!Our favourite place to stay locally,just an hour travel from Merseyside area.a.Well be back soon!"
