"The property offers good value. It’s a reasonable price and a 12 minute walk to the City center. The in room amenities were okay. The staff were helpful. We had an issue with hot water which was promptly. The Ethos cafe is handy but the food options including breakfast is only average What I didn’t like: the property should disclose prominently that accessibility may be an issue as there were many steps both to check in and to our room."

"We were so happy with our hotel room at the Bocardo which is on George Street so nice and central to everything in Oxford. We did a lot of sight seeing and tourist activities and everything was only a few minutes walk away. The reception staff also gave us a map and marked out our locations for us on it which was really helpful. Our room was nice and spacious with big windows that opened and also had effective curtains that blocked out the light. As an added bonus the room also had air conditioning which can be rare in the UK. We were so comfortable there and the staff were lovely and so kind. We would highly recommend the Bocardo to anyone staying in Oxford."

"Here’s a clearer, polished version of your review while keeping your original points and tone: We stayed for one night in this “cheap and cheerful” hotel. We had a twin room with an ensuite, which was clean, but some features felt very dated, especially the wardrobe and carpet. The beds were comfortable, though. Unfortunately, we found it quite noisy. It wasn’t just the building work outside you could hear people walking past due to creaky floorboards, and the noise from the room above sounded like a herd of elephants, even with earplugs in. Breakfast was included, but we were told at check-in that it was only a continental breakfast, not a cooked one. That said, it was decent for what it was. The staff were very helpful and friendly, which was a definite plus. Overall, the building feels quite dated, but the location is excellent very close to the town centre and the new theatre, all within walking distance. There’s also a car park just a minute away, costing £12.50 per day."

"The room was well equiped with everything we needed as well as being spotlessly clean. It was especially nice to have a big screen tv, a fridge and ironing equipment as well as a digital bedside clock. The air con worked really well. The breakfast was really nice with a good selection of items for full english as well as contental. The only thing we were disappointed with was the bacon which looked very tasty but didnt taste very nice at all. The sausages however, were excellent. The hotel is only a short walk from the station and is very close to many shops, pubs and other attractions."
