"On arrival greeted by reception as if they’d been having a bad day and letting it show. Hotel is pleasant enough but I don’t expect luxury what I do expect a comfortable bed. My expectations were not met here. Easily the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Mattress must have been 20 years old. I resorted to pulling out the sofa bed at 2am it was that bad. Better but not a great alternative. Maybe I got unlucky. "

"Breakfast was hot and fresh. Room had a great view over the golf course and was clean. Ckeckin took a bit longer than expected writing out the card to go with the key, even having pre checked in on line."

Staff excellent apart from the night security guard who wanted a full breakdown of who we were (I already gave him my full name and room number) carried on asking more questions until a younger staff member came from the back and stopped the multiple questions. In general staff were excellent. "

"Convenient location, ample free parking, helpful staff, good sized and clean room, interesting bathroom layout, very hot water, good breakfast. Found the bed clean but very uncomfortable (too springy)."

"Hotel is in a lovely peaceful setting. Nice outdoor areas. Harry's bar had good food. We didn't have time for the spa so can't comment on that, but we really enjoyed our one night stay"

"Staff were hit and miss. Lucy checked me in and was great but Grace refused to let me borrow a charger even though she said there was a box full in lost property. Breakfast staff not brilliant either. Asked for a pot to put sauce in too be told to put straight on plate, why? Lager in bar was flat except the one that costs £7.95. Dont take cash. Room was only ok. Would not rush back."
