We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to leave our luggage at a nearby restaurant. Is in a great location. Our accommodation was around the corner and on third floor. We were helped up as no lift but worth checking if stairs are an issue.
Place was great but the hot tub on the balcony did not work. Also good luck trying to find parking if you have a rental. It was so frustrating to find a space that I went ahead and returned my car a day early. The apartment was very clean and I thought it was a nice touch having a little bathroom kit with a toothbrush among other things. Many restaurant and shopping choices around the area. Would definitely go back.
Lovely modern suite with everything you could need
After some initial difficulties with communication and checking in, everything was perfect and staff were very helpful. Lovely studio suite, comfortable bed, well equipped, very central, great balcony
We booked a two night stay as part of a longer trip to Crete. The room was recently renovated and very well appointed. Instructions for parking were very helpful and the attendant at the lot showed us how to get to the room. Unfortunately, the WiFi did not work during our entire stay. Also, there was a power outage that affected the neighborhood so we did not have electricity for much of the second day. This was not the hotel’s fault, but there was no attempt to make guests aware and people were in the hallways complaining about not being able to get ahold of the hotel. People had their doors open to try to get some light from the emergency stairwell lights so it was a bit noisy. We also had to laugh at what constituted a “city view”. Overall, we loved Heraklion and the apartment, just not the annoyances.
The two bedroom apartment was perfect for us. The communication was spotty, for example, we got a message that they needed to collect six euros from us, but there was no front desk, so I left money in the room when we checked out. If you book this place, be careful because taxis and tour operators cannot find the location to pick you up. Once we figure this out we walked two blocks to get a taxi or down the street about six blocks to a taxi stand.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
I stayed in unit separate than the hotel but in city center. It can be quite noisy special in the night with restaurants open till midnight.
Shower fittings were loose but manageable. One thing to be careful about No Lift and it is 3rd Floor. So if you have quite heavy luggage then you have to take bellboy help or drag it up yourself. Bathroom exhaust was not working.
Centro Vero Suites has potential but the advertising, at least on Expedia, is misleading. We booked the 'Junior Suite' room because of the pictures of the view of the church from the terrace, with jacuzzi. These were, in fact, the only photos this room type had on Expedia. However, upon arrival, we were assigned to another 'junior suite' which did have a terrace with a jacuzzi but it was at the back of the building, ground floor, with a 'view' of buildings falling apart and under construction. Not quite the romantic vibe one expects from the hotels' photos. The jacuzzi was also dirty, full of sand, and the sofa had stains on it. The rest of the suite looked clean and nicely furnished but because of the suite's location at the bottom of the building, it had almost natural light. We knew this is not the room we booked because, coincidentally, we did stay in the correct room a week before through a separate booking. The room with the church view and jacuzzi is truly beautiful and would receive 5 stars. When we complained to the hotel staff (nobody on sight, you need to call multiple numbers to try to reach someone), they tried to gaslight us with comments like 'we sell rooms, not views' and 'you cannot see specific photos of a view from the room when booking' - I found these very rude and misleading. After quite some arguing, the hotel allowed us to leave and gave us complete refund, which left us needing to find a room in Heraklion at 5pm. What a disappointment!
