The deluxe room is more of an apartment than a hotel. It's basically one huge studio apartment with a kitchen. It's listed on hotels.com as 40 m2, I measured about 37 m2, so it's about right. More spacious than most rooms in HCMC. They also list themselves as a 3-Star property, but there are no restaurant facilities on premises so I don't think they are supposed to advertise themselves as 3-Star. I didn't see their government issued 3-Star plaque anywhere.
They have one small AC unit that is too weak to cool the entire apartment in an acceptable amount of time. You have to combine the AC on full blast with the fan and be in the nude to stay cool.
I found a working ethernet port next to the fridge so internet was great.
The listing said it had a balcony but the deluxe room I was given had no balcony. The front desk said that my Deluxe Room did not have a balcony. In that case, they should have two types of Deluxe rooms - one with balcony and one without instead of clumping them together. The guest that books the Deluxe room thinking it comes with a balcony will be disappointed.
I walked around the neighborhood in the afternoon and there was nothing interesting going on. Just a bunch of budget restaurants and coffee shops. This is not a tourist district.
Room Tip: Get the Deluxe Room, it's huge
