Great little motel

I had to change my booking due to a family funeral, and the hotel staff were understanding and accommodating. Our stay there was very comfortable. I highly recommend Mayfair on Cavell. Lovely, spacious room and spa bath.

As others have said, the decor is tired and some fixtures are stained or chipped. BUT it is also a huge, well-equipped room with lots of storage which is cheap, quiet and in a good location. It is an over-bath shower, but the pressure is great. I would definitely stay again.

Nice place! Accessible by bus, but be aware it's a hilly area so would not be an easy walk to/from Hobart CBD for everyone. No air conditioning.
