The Höfði house in Reykjavik, Iceland. This house, a government facility in Iceland, was the site of a 1986 summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev.

The 1986 summit was a pivotal moment - a meeting where arms control measures were discussed. Although the meeting collapsed at the last moment, the summit subsequently became viewed as pivotal in developing the personal relationship between Reagan and Gorbachev.

Soviet foreign minister (and future President of Georgia) Eduard Shevardnadze was also present at the meeting.
Hofdi House is an inconspicuous white house on the outskirts of Reykjavik. This beautiful building was one of my favorite sites in Rekyjavik. In 1986 Reagan and Gorbatsjov met here and their meeting is often referred to the end of the Cold War. The landscape in iceland is incredible, but stumbling upon this piece of history was one of my favorite parts of my trip. #LifeAtExpedia
