Weekend away

Had a really enjoyable stay ,the Postcard Inn looks old and is ready for a refurbished but it is spotlessly clean and the manager and staff at the Postcard were very friendly and helpful.

Horrible

As soon as we got to the place we were NOT greeted by the best that Holmfirth has to offer. Not a bit of decorum to be found in this place. We got their late due to traffic problems and were thrown a key and taken to our room without even a hello! But what was worse was the fact that the very next day the landlady asked us to leave as their next guests were due in an hour and we were to vacate the room, yet I had paid for two nights! They did apologise and blamed their booking system but come on! why lie and say the next guests are coming in an hour when the guests (i.e. us!) were already there?!!!!!!!!. enough was enough! Left early. I chose this place as I thought it was very affordable but don't stay here as even the slightly more expensive places are a lot more upmarket. It was clean and the young girl was pleasant but the owners need to think hard about what type of pub/B&B/hotel they want to run as first and final impressions are not good.

Nice hotel in a picturesque place.

Ideal location for the Holmfirth pictured Rome where a lot of concerts play. This is one or the reasons we booked it to stay.
