"Beautiful property, very clean, comfortable bed. Our only issue was we found the morning front desk agent to be unhelpful and abrasive, perhaps she isnt a morning person. (?) The evening agent (checkin) was not knowledgeable of the history of the inn, (crucial in a 200 year old home) when asked he just shrugged and pointed to a poster on the wall and left the room. "Happy with our 1st stay in the large family suite and the good breakfast ($7/person), we booked again on way back for the Champagne suite. The well kept big house can view the river from balconies of some rooms or the rooftop terrace (don't miss the sunrises). The hosts live on site and the lady was friendly and nice to talk to."

"It is a lovely stately old home with rooms that are fairly large. As to be expected, the floors creak, the doors let lots of light under them etc. Breakfasts were interesting and the savoury options were very tasty. The place needs a bit of general maintenance (loose knobs on cabinets and shower, squeaky door hinges, dead batteries in the gas fireplace starter etc).
