"Staff were excellent and particularly helpful. It's handy to be able to get breakfast at the hotel: the waffles are always a hit, but there were also bakery items, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, eggs, bacon. I had a 2-night stay, and was surprised my room wasn't refreshed overnight, but there were plenty of linens and supplies, and I'm sure I could have gotten more decaf coffee had I asked at the front desk. My room on the 4th floor had a gorgeous lake view (saw 2 bald eagles!), but please note: the windows do not open. We wanted to sit outside and watch the sunset after a late afternoon rainstorm, and the front desk staff was particularly helpful finding cloths to wipe down the chairs outside and towels to sit on. Sunsets over Lake Bemidji are wonderful!! I intended to take a swim while I was visiting; the chlorine scent was too strong for me, but a lot of families were having a grand time in the pool and hot tub. I think the (black) elevator doors should be refreshed and painted a light color: they're hard to find at first and the dark hallway didn't seem upbeat when we arrived. I didn't use the bar. Overall it was a fine experience. GREAT LOCATION."
