"I heard about Benmiller Inn over 25 years ago and had always wanted to stay there. Unfortunately, it seems I should have visited 25 years ago. This is no longer a luxury retreat and I found many of the glowing reviews quite misleading.
Our stay got off to a poor start when the unenthusiastic front desk couldn't locate our reservation. The entrance to our building smelled strongly of chlorine from the pool and felt damp, with three dehumidifiers running in the hallway.

"The room was dated but clean. Kichenette was stocked with plates, cutlery, coffee maker and microwave. The air conditioner was not working and staff unable to fix. Sadly, during heat wave our stay was uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. No resolution was offered - changing of room / discount."

"Friendly and professional staff. Nicely maintained grounds - grass cut, floral arrangements. Clean room, welcome note. Security measures in effect. This motel is an excellent choice in the quaint town of Palmerston in the heart of farm/mennonite Ontario. Close to restaurants and relatively close to other tourist towns of interest including Arthur and St. Jacobs. We recommend"

"The okay - It’s a basic motel with beds. It’s 20 mins walk to town and 5 mins walk to the nearest gas station. The room had cable tv, a microwave, and refrigerator which were very handy. The a/c worked well.
The worst - towels and bed sheets had hair and old stains. The room smelled old, like it hadn’t been aired, so we had to leave the windows wide open to get the smell out."

"It is what it is. Nice people, inexpensive, but really didn’t like the strong smell of scented cleaning products in the room, and the room looked clean but honestly get kind of grimy. Room was stuffy even with air conditioning running."
