"We spent two weeks at the Holiday Inn Express as we flew to Chicago to help my daughter with her newborn. The price was right, and the location convenient to the highway.
From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm, welcoming and kind of became family. Some stars are Veronica, Jessica, Ruth (breakfast) and Ruth's niece. Breakfast was always well stocked and clean!! Food was fresh, eating areas were very clean... I have to say that is very important for us.
Our room was just what we needed. The bed was super comfortable and there were two types of pillows to choose from. We slept well. AC/Heat worked well without being loud, and being close to the airport we really didn't hear the airplanes. We had a king size bed, couch, desk, mini fridge and microwave. Mariano's isn't too far away and we bought water for the room. The shower was spacious, with Dove products so we didn't buy shampoo.
We didn't use the pool onsite, The elevators were fast, and it was easy to get everywhere from this property. You do have fast food (Dunks, Popeye's), a Waymo station, gas station on property, and we didn't have a problem getting a parking spot ($20 night).
The restaurant on property was beautiful inside, serving Asian & Latin fusion. Nice staff, lively music (salsa) oysters to pizza, sports bar it was ok. Great drinks... food rating B-.
Rooms are cleaned as you request. You just need to give the front desk some notice.
We would stay here again. Shout out to their wonderful staff!"
