"My first stay at Lynton House and an enjoyable one. It was a welcome change to find good old fashioned friendly personal service where you were shown to your room and told where everything was and how it worked such as the pressure shower. Breakfast was good and tasty and set you up for the day and the hotel's location on the seafront was a bonus. Free car parking is available overnight but there is a daytime charge. "The reviews we had seen created high expectations for our stay and we weren’t disappointed. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The finishing touches in the room and en-suite were excellent. It was quiet apart from the faintest of traffic noise from the quiet road in front. Comfortable bed and good shower completed the package. "The Amber House has a very friendly and homely feel to it, I found it a very enjoyable stay and as a solo traveller as my room was a good size and very comfortable.If the weather is nice they have a lovely garden to sit out in and also a ' honesty bar' which has a nice selection in it. I thoroughly recommend you stay here if you're ever in Paignton. "

"Lovely one night stay as part of a road trip down to Cornwall. The host was lovely and friendly and made us welcome. The room was comfortable and quiet and we slept well. Delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Ideally I’d have liked a bigger bath sheet that could wrap round me after a shower but for a short stay it was perfectly fine. "

"From arrival host was great and friendly. All weekend he went out of his way to help. Rooms nice and clean some smaller than others but still good for the price u pay. Good selection for freshly cooked breakfasts. Five min walk to beach area and free parking will be back when we come next year."
